No sweating in the outside wall is also noticeable in the design. You can’t really feel hot and cold with your palm while drinking.

While some people find it irritating to always keep the button pushed to drink from the Contigo mug, otherwise the lid locks itself. In here, the Zojirushi SM-SA48-BA has worked it out. You open the lock then press the push button to open the lid.

It will not automatically lock the lid, but once you close the lid and lock it, there is no chance of spilling. A slight intelligent invention from Zojirushi.

Zojirushi is a famous name in making house cookware. Their travel mug is an excellent example of that.

This mug is super budget friendly for people looking for a cheap Contigo travel mug. Simple and durable design. Contigo SnapSeal features the leak-proof snap and close lid. Snap up for a sip then snap down to close the opening. It is not going to close by itself like the AUTOSEAL mug.

Either way, we have tested the seal and it works perfectly. As a cheap option we didn’t expect much on the mug, but to our surprise, we saw the company retains its name and quality. Made from BPA free plastic and stainless steel body makes it more durable than other cheap options in the market.

Although we are sure the snap up and down lock is not as secure as the AUTOSEAL option. So, when you are going to put the mug in your bag, be very careful. It’s leak proof but the lid can easily be opened accidentally.

The Contigo SnapSeal mug fits perfectly in the bicycle or car cup holder. We have tested the 16 oz version. There are two more sizes available 20 oz and 24 oz.
